Restor/G20 Global Land Initiative RestorLife Awards 2025 ($25,000 grant)

Restor and the G20 Global Land Initiative Coordination Office of the UNCCD proudly launch the prestigious RestorLife Awards at UNCCD COP16. These awards celebrate organizations and businesses that showcase outstanding commitment to environmental restoration, sustainable livelihoods, and ecosystem protection. By recognizing innovative and impactful efforts, the RestorLife Awards aim to inspire global action in combating desertification and promoting land restoration. This initiative highlights the crucial role of businesses and organizations in creating a healthier planet while supporting communities. Through this recognition, Restor and UNCCD encourage sustainable solutions that drive meaningful environmental and social change worldwide.

The RestorLife Awards feature two categories: the NGO Award, which recognizes organizations that lead impactful conservation and restoration efforts, and the Responsible Business Leadership Award, honoring businesses committed to exceptional corporate responsibility and positive environmental action. Nominees are carefully selected by a panel, experts in ecology, community development, and sustainability, ensuring a thorough evaluation process.

Benefits of Global Land Initiative

  • The winner of the NGO Award will receive a USD $25,000 grant in recognition of their achievements. The awards ceremony will take place at Ramsar COP15 in Zimbabwe, where awardees from both categories will be flown in to present their work, network, and receive their award.
